Real Madrid beat AEK Athens 3–2 in Athens on Wednesday in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase.

Aboubakary Koita gave AEK the lead in the 12th minute and Jude Bellingham equalized from Marc Cucurella's low cross in the 32nd. Stavros Pilios put AEK back in front in the 75th minute, through Thibaut Courtois's legs, and Mbappé tapped in Denzel Dumfries's pass three minutes later.

Valverde won it from distance in the 92nd minute, FotMob reports. Koita was shown a red card after the final whistle for confronting the referee. Madrid have won all four league-phase games, and FotMob reports, citing Opta, that Mbappé became the fifth player to reach 100 Champions League goal involvements.
