OMAR REKIK
Defender · Ludogorets
“Old-school centre-back, built to defend first.”
GoalPost verdict
GoalPost score (GPS)
GoalPost read
O. Rekik offers value as a centre back still moving toward his peak years, with his strongest recent work at Maribor and a longer useful spell at Wigan. League level and a role that does not guarantee a starting place keep a lid on it.

Analysis overview
Rekik plays like a straight defender: compact, alert, and happiest when the game is in front of him. In a centre-back role, he keeps his shape, steps in cleanly, and focuses on denying space rather than chasing the spotlight. His value comes from simple, committed defending and staying reliable under pressure.
