Burnley have confirmed the departure of head coach Nicky Hayen, a day after a 4–1 defeat at Lincoln City on Saturday.
Hayen, formerly in charge at Genk and Club Brugge, was appointed in July on a three-year contract to replace Scott Parker, Reuters reported at the time. Teesside Live reports he lasted 14 games, and that Burnley, relegated from the Premier League last season, are third from bottom of the Championship on eight points.
The club cited a disappointing start to the season, Teesside Live reports. No successor has been named.
