Bournemouth beat Manchester United 3–0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Rayan put Bournemouth ahead in the 38th minute from Justin Kluivert's free kick. Five minutes later Leny Yoro lost his footing under pressure from Adrien Truffert, who squared for Marcus Tavernier to score into an empty net. Evanilson, who had an earlier goal ruled out for offside, rounded Senne Lammens and finished from a narrow angle in the 71st.
Carrick left captain Bruno Fernandes out of the side after Fernandes criticized the team's tactics following a 4–1 Champions League defeat to Como in midweek, ESPN reports. Fernandes stayed on the bench throughout.
United are 16th with seven points from eight games: one win, four draws, three defeats. Bournemouth have nine. ESPN reports Carrick's position is under more scrutiny than at any point in his tenure.
