Barcelona beat Real Betis 5–2 in Seville on Saturday. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Valentín Gómez equalized for Betis. Rodri restored the lead before halftime, and Gabriel Jesus made it 3–1 early in the second half from Yamal's pass.
Abde Ezzalzouli pulled one back in the 53rd minute. A minute later Betis midfielder Facundo Bernal was sent off after a clash with Yamal; ESPN describes him moving his head toward the Barcelona forward. Eric García and Dani Olmo scored the last two goals against ten men.
ESPN reports the win is Barcelona's ninth in nine league games, equaling the best start to a La Liga season, a record Real Madrid set in 1968–69. Hansi Flick's side lead the table on 27 points. Betis stay third on 19.
