Liverpool won 6–3 at LASK on Wednesday. Ronald Araújo headed in a Kostas Tsimikas corner in the 22nd minute, and Bradley Barcola scored in the 24th and 37th minutes, the second from Florian Wirtz's pass.

Jeremie Frimpong made it 4–0 after halftime. Robert Ljubičić scored for LASK, Barcola completed his hat-trick from Frimpong's cross in the 66th minute, and Lewis Koumas added a sixth. Florian Flecker then scored twice for LASK.

Sky Sports reports the goals were Barcola's first for Liverpool, in his seventh appearance since his £123m move from Paris Saint-Germain. Andoni Iraola, who replaced both center-backs during the game, told Liverpool's website that changing them together was a mistake.
