The Allianz Arena glows — literally. The illuminated exterior shifts color depending on who is playing, and inside, the Südkurve generates a coordinated wall of sound that is as disciplined as it is deafening. Bayern's supporter culture brings choreography, banners, and a drumbeat that doesn't stop.
— The 2012 Champions League final loss to Chelsea on home soil — on penalties, after dominating — remains the wound that made the 2013 Wembley final victory feel like cosmic correction.
At 75,024, it is one of the largest grounds in Germany, and its red and white seats spell out the club's crest and its motto, Mia San Mia.
The approach from Fröttmaning station across the park, with the glowing arena growing on the horizon like a landed spacecraft, is one of the most distinctive stadium arrivals in world football.

Everything you need to know before visiting Allianz Arena
- •Gates open 2.5 hours before kick-off. Bags or backpacks larger than A4, liquids of any kind and power banks over 100 g are confiscated at entry; luggage storage on the Esplanade costs €2.
- •The U6 from Marienplatz to Fröttmaning takes about 16 minutes; match tickets do not include MVV public transport, so buy a separate ticket.
- •Every kiosk sells giant pretzels and the stands serve Paulaner beer at FC Bayern home games; pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- •On matchdays the FC Bayern Museum (adults €12) needs both a match ticket and a museum ticket; it stays open two hours after the final whistle at Bundesliga home games.

Parking
Car parks P1–P3 under the Esplanade (A9 exit 73 München-Fröttmaning-Süd or A99 exit 12b München-Fröttmaning-Nord) charge €12 per car if the number plate is registered online by the day before and €15 on the matchday; payment is by number-plate recognition, not cash at the exit. Emptying the car parks after a match can take up to 2.5 hours.
Wheelchair spaces with a companion seat are on the top row of the lower tier (along the sides and in the north curve) and need a special wheelchair ticket. Holders of an EU disabled parking permit (aG or Bl) park free on level 3 of car park P1, and Fröttmaning station has lifts at the south end of the platform.
