CHRIST MAKOSSO
Defender · Auxerre · Ligue 1
“Congolese centre-back still finding his feet at the highest level.”
GoalPost verdict
GoalPost score (GPS)
GoalPost read
C. Makosso rates as developing: a centre back whose value rests on unusual output for his position and steady year-to-year reliability, even as his recent form has eased. He is still heading toward his peak years, but the current trend is down.

Analysis overview
Makosso operates as a traditional central defender with a direct, no-frills approach to his work. He reads the game from deep, positioning himself to cut out passes and win aerial contests. His role is built on functional defending rather than technical sophistication.
