Bruno Cabrera (Newells Old Boys), rated 8.2
Newell’s Old Boys had the clearer chances and left San Lorenzo with a point apiece. It was even for long stretches, but Newell’s asked the sharper questions, and J. Reinatti was the reason it stayed goalless. He earned player of the match by holding up the few moments that mattered, while San Lorenzo never found enough in the final third to turn their spell of pressure into a finish. The chances were there more often for Newell’s, not by much but enough to tilt the feel of the game. San Lorenzo had to settle for territory without a breakthrough. In the end, both defenses kept their shape and neither side found the one clean touch to decide it.
