Match Report
Athletic Club were in control from the first half-hour and finished the job with room to spare. Mikel Jauregizar fed M. Sannadi for the opener in the 29th minute, then set up Roberto Navarro two minutes later as Athletic turned the tie with a quick double. Prat got one back through G. Reinke, assisted by A. Plaza Cremades, but it barely changed the shape of the match; Athletic kept the ball and kept finding the clearer openings, and Nicolás Serrano restored the two-goal cushion before halftime. Roberto Navarro was named player of the match after steering the game early. The bench added the final weight too, with T. Vizcay, C. Imga, and S. Sanchez all scoring after coming on, and Conde twice involved in the late surge. Athletic Club go through, and Prat’s Copa del Rey run is over.
