Match Report
NorthEast United led for most of the night, then had to settle for a point. J. Madathil put them ahead in the 15th minute from Ethyan González’s pass, and from there Bengaluru had more of the ball without turning it into much, with clear chances scarce at both ends. Abdul Rabeeh stood out for NorthEast throughout, the one player who kept their edge in the game. Then, deep into stoppage time, Sunil Chhetri slipped in Vinith Venkatesh, and the substitute finished to level it at 1-1 in the 90+3rd minute. No one was sent off, and Bengaluru’s possession only really paid off at the very end. NorthEast leave with 8 points from four games, Bengaluru with 7, and the table stays tight.
