Match Report
Newells Old Boys had more of the ball, but Union Santa Fe carried the sharper threat for long stretches. Juan Ludueña put Union ahead in the 59th minute, turning M. Estigarribia’s assist into a lead Newells had to chase. N. Goitea stood out for Newells, and the equalizer came in the 76th when Ignacio Isla put the ball into his own net, the goal that pulled it back to 1–1. No one was sent off, and neither side found a second. A point apiece was the fair finish to a game that never gave Newells much comfort despite the possession.
