Match Report
Persib Bandung took control and never really let Melbourne Victory breathe. Victory went ahead on 71 minutes through an own goal by Júlio César, but the game had already been leaning Persib’s way, with D. Lončar steadying the back line while the visitors carried the better chances and far more of the ball. Then L. Menalo, off the bench, pulled Persib level in the 85th minute. Five minutes later, B. Sekulić finished M. Peralta’s pass to turn it around. Persib finished top of Group E on 12 points, with Melbourne Victory second on 4 after four games, and Lončar was named player of the match.
