Match Report
Lommel United controlled the ball and made Gent chase most of the night. For long stretches, though, there was little in the way of clear chances at either end until Juho Talvitie broke through in the 82nd minute, turning in Đorđe Gordić’s pass for 1-0. Lommel did not let that settle the shape of the game for long: Gordić then scored himself in the 87th, finishing Lucas Schoofs’ assist after coming off the bench. Matthias Pieklak was named player of the match after a clean, composed night at the back, while Gent never found a reply to a game they spent too much of without the ball. The win leaves Lommel United seventh on 15 points after 10 games, with Gent still third on 25.
