T. Guidara (Lanus), rated 8.2
Lanus took the better of an even game and made it count. Lucas Besozzi was the sharpest player on the pitch, and his pass set up Sasha Marcich for the opener in the 59th minute, giving Lanus the lead their chances had been pointing toward. Velez Sarsfield never really answered; they had more of the ball at times, but Lanus created the cleaner openings and kept the pressure on until Tomás Marchiori turned the ball into his own net in the 90+5th minute. It finished 2-0. Lanus get the three points, with Besozzi’s influence and Marchiori’s own goal deciding a match that stayed level far too long for Velez.
