Utrecht had the ball, Kozakken Boys had the work. The visitors controlled possession for long stretches, but clear chances were scarce at both ends until Oualid Agougil picked out Nikolas Panagiotou in the 38th minute and Panagiotou sent Utrecht in front from close range of the night’s only goal. It never opened up much after that; Kozakken Boys chased the game without ever finding a clean reply, and Utrecht’s control was more of the ball and little to show for it than a flood of chances. Panagiotou was named player of the match for the goal and the steady edge he gave Utrecht in a tight cup tie. One goal settled it.
