Match Report
Groningen had the ball and the better chances, but Emmen took the only moments that counted. J. Cooper-Love put Emmen in front in the 10th minute from Sybrand Veldhuis’s pass, then finished the same pairing again 55 minutes in to make it 2-0; Groningen spent most of the night chasing a game they had largely controlled. K. Roos stood out in the Emmen goal, with Groningen’s possession and clearer openings running into him and little else. Emmen needed two clear attacks to decide it, and Groningen’s pressure never found a reply.
