Match Report
Belgrano Cordoba had more of the ball, but Gimnasia L.P. took the first-half chances and spent the rest of the night protecting them. Lucas Janson opened it in the 6th minute, then Agustin Auzmendi made it 2-0 on 27 minutes after MatĂas Melluso picked him out. Belgrano finally got something back in first-half stoppage time through Alcides BenĂtez, and that was about as close as they came. Auzmendi was the difference: he scored once, moved the game on, and left as player of the match. Gimnasia finished sixth in Apertura - Group B on 26 points after 16 games, with Belgrano Cordoba fifth on the same total.
