Match Report
John Nwankwo’s red card tilted a tight game late, and Eibar still had to wait until the last minute to take something from it. Mallorca took the lead in the 52nd minute when Fuentes met Adrian Liso’s pass, and for long stretches that was enough in a match where neither side created much and both were short on clear answers. Eibar kept at it without much clean final ball, and Aleix Garrido stood out for the home side as the one player who kept the game moving their way. Then Nwankwo went off in the 81st minute, and Eibar finally found the opening they had been chasing. Iván Gil converted the penalty in the 94th minute. Eibar stay second on 22 points after 10 games, with Mallorca fourth on 18.
