Match Report
Club Tijuana had the sharper edge all night. Santos Laguna saw more of the ball, but Tijuana kept finding the more dangerous spaces, and Francisco González opened it at 13' from Adonis Preciado’s pass before I. Rivero made it 2-0 five minutes later. Esteban Lozano pulled one back for Santos in the 66th minute, finishing Ezequiel Bullaude’s assist, but the reply was immediate in football terms: Rivero struck again three minutes later, then Preciado added the fourth on 72' from Jesús Vega. Rivero was the player of the match, and he looked it. Tijuana leave on 20 points after 14 games, with Santos right behind on 19.
