Marco Iacobellis (Central Cordoba de Santiago), rated 8.7
Alexander Jesús Medina Reobasco’s red card in first-half stoppage time left Estudiantes L.P. to regroup with 10 men, and Central Cordoba de Santiago had already done enough to show why the night belonged to their directness. Estudiantes saw more of the ball, but Central Cordoba carried the sharper edge, and M. Monsalve’s 22nd-minute opener from F. Pérez Escudero was answered by a quick burst before the break. L. Sequeira finished D. Barrera’s pass on 37 minutes, then M. Santos was on hand a minute later to put Central Cordoba 2-1 up, with the match already tilting their way. Estudiantes did not fade from the game, though, and E. Cetré converted the stoppage-time penalty at 45+5 to drag it back to 2-2 after the red card. Santos stood out for Central Cordoba, and the draw leaves both sides with a point from a match Estudiantes controlled in possession but never quite matched for threat.
