Lanús had more of the ball and little to show for it. Banfield struck first in the 20th minute, when Lautaro Gómez picked out Adrián Balboa and he finished for 1-0, but that lead never looked secure. Carlos Izquierdoz leveled in the 62nd after Matías Sepúlveda delivered the assist, and from there Lanús kept the pressure on without creating much that was clear-cut. Sepúlveda was named player of the match for the control he brought in midfield and the pass that set up the equalizer. It ends level, with Banfield and Lanús taking a point apiece.
