Match Report
Twente carried the better chances through an otherwise even game and only got what it had been threatening late on. Sondre Ørjasæter opened it in the 84th minute, turning in Y. Taha’s pass to put Twente in front, and Daouda Weidmann’s red card four minutes later left AZ chasing it with little time left. Then came the strange second: Joel Drommel, named player of the match, set up L. Vennegoor of Hesselink for the 90+3rd-minute finish, with the substitute doing the rest off the bench. Twente took three points, and the game finished where the chances suggested it would.
