Match Report
Avellino took control with a burst Sampdoria never answered. W. Cheddira opened it in the 12th minute from B. Moruzzi’s cross, L. Insigne drew Sampdoria level six minutes later, and then Avellino hit back at once through M. Palumbo, with R. Russo turning provider for the next two before M. Besaggio finished the flurry at 29'. Moruzzi was named man of the match, and it fit the way he kept finding the right pass on the left while Avellino kept creating the better chances in an otherwise even game. Sampdoria had their moment through Insigne, but after that they were chasing the game by halftime and never got close to another reply. Avellino stay fourth in Serie B on 10 points after six games; Sampdoria are 17th on 4.
