Match Report
Adelaide United had more of the ball and little to show for it; Home United carried the sharper threat and left with the points. Hugo Gomes broke the game open in the 80th minute, and Home did not need long to make that stand up, because Adelaide never turned possession into a reply. Then Matthias Phaëton picked out Lennart Thy in stoppage time, and the substitute finished it at 90+4. Gomes was named player of the match for the goal that changed the night and the control he gave Home at the back. Home United go to the top of Group F on 7 points; Adelaide United stay second on 6 after three games.
