Simba owned the night. They had the better of the ball, the cleaner chances, and the first clear break came when Chilambo opened the scoring in the 43rd minute; Mpanzu made it 2-0 just after the hour, and then the floodgates stayed open as Doumbia, Makgalwa, Oura, and Doumbia again kept adding to it. 15 de Agosto rarely threatened until a stoppage-time consolation from an unnamed scorer. Doumbia finished with two, and Simba had four different scorers in the second half alone. It was one-way traffic from start to finish, and the margin was every bit as wide as the run of play.
