Dani Ceballos has signed for Arsenal on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a deal which will see him spend the 2019/20 season at the London club, after making 56 appearances for Real Madrid ever since he signed from Real Betis back in 2017.

Speaking about the Spanish midfielder, Unai Emery said that "We're excited to see Dani join us. He is a talented player with a big technical ability, creativity and precision."

Many have likened this signing to last January's mid-season signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona on loan, but we will just have to wait and see if the Spaniard will go on to have a better role than his compatriot.

Apart from signing Ceballos, Arsenal have been rumoured to sign Saint-Etienne centre-back William Saliba, with the 18-year-old having a transfer value of around £27 million. According to reports, the Frenchman will return to Saint-Etienne on loan for the coming season, and will join the Gunners for the 2020/21 season.
